In the 7th minute Lenílson Queiroz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Romeu Eger showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Walmyr Velasco, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. The audience was convinced that Walmyr Velasco's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romeu Eger was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. 17 minutes into the game, Angelo Britto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Durval Britto was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Ulysses de Barros took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Durval Britto. Durval Britto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 31st minute, Lenílson Queiroz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Durval Britto was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ulysses de Barros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-0 in the 35 minute of play. Romeu Eger took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Walmyr Velasco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 40 minutes into the match, Walmyr Velasco had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Romeu Eger. cruzeiro mafia azul's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Walmyr Velasco was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. After 45 minutes, Vítor da Silveira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the cruzeiro mafia azul and the Botucatu FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 45th minute, Vítor da Silveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

Botucatu FC's Júlio Nogueira got a good chance for a goal in the 54th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Romeu Eger showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Walmyr Velasco in the 56th minute of the match. Romeu Eger was a little too slow when Walmyr Velasco got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 58th minute. The score was now 3-2. A collision led to cruzeiro mafia azul getting a freekick after 60 minutes play. Lenílson Queiroz hit a great ball. After having played for 61 minutes, Júlio Nogueira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Botucatu FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júlio Nogueira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Agnaldo da Cunha got free with Romeu Eger in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 69th minute Botucatu FC were awarded a corner. Lúcio Alagoano went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Botucatu FC's corner Lúcio Alagoano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Romeu Eger quite easily take care of the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Botucatu FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ulysses de Barros came free, but Durval Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When 庞宇亦 fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored cruzeiro mafia azul's protests and gave 庞宇亦 a yellow card for diving instead. In the 85th minute Ulysses de Barros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Britto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walmyr Velasco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The cruzeiro mafia azul fans cheered their team off the field, for while Botucatu FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
