When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Paulo Bueno made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tarcisio Quirino in the 54th minute of play forced Brasabrantes SC's goalkeeper Luís Eduardo Abraão to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 56 minutes into the game, Macarani's Tarcisio Quirino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Eduardo Abraão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. 59 minutes into the match, Macarani's goalkeeper Flavinho Furtado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Paulo Alves. 65 minutes into the match, Brasabrantes SC's goal looked a bit too open when Tarcisio Quirino came free, but Luís Eduardo Abraão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Macarani's Flavinho Furtado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davi Costa in the 76th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Macarani's Tarcisio Quirino nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luiz Paulo Alves couldn't finish the play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Macarani fans cheered their team off the field, for while Brasabrantes SC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
