The supporters of CECP Futebol Clube booed when Mandassaia EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Caio Pinheiro didn't get a good kick on the ball. CECP Futebol Clube's Nico Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 13th minute, Diamantino Mazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Marcelinho de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Gomes having to interfere. Emanuel Gomes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marcelinho de Castro's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Emanuel Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamílton de Queirós in the 17th minute of play. Hamílton de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Marcelinho de Castro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Gomes having to interfere. In the 22nd match minute, CECP Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Diamantino Mazza to maneuver through the defense. Nico Dantas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Virgílio Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ronaldo Ramos in the 29th minute of play. In the 34th minute Ronaldo Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgílio Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a perfect take down Álvaro Gaúcho was able to capitalize on CECP Futebol Clube's free kick with a crushing shot that notched up the score 1-0. Nico Dantas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Virgílio Barros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Hamílton de Queirós made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to CECP Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Ezequiel Lima hit a great ball. Ronaldo Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgílio Barros having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nico Dantas in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgílio Barros prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Hamílton de Queirós came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the Mandassaia EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamílton de Queirós couldn't finish the play. If Nico Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fernão Marinho hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. When CECP Futebol Clube's Ronaldo Ramos, in the 68th minute, received a pass right in front of the net, it looked like a certain goal, but his shot went outside. A wasted opportunity for CECP Futebol Clube. If Nico Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. CECP Futebol Clube's Nico Dantas got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 79 minutes into the match, CECP Futebol Clube's Nico Dantas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Virgílio Barros narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ezequiel Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 81st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ezequiel Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 91st minute Nico Dantas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgílio Barros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Mandassaia EC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for CECP Futebol Clube.
