When Hortêncio de Salles fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. After 65 minutes of play, Cacambinha AD's Manuel Reis made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorginho Loyola was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 68th minute, Percy Saraiva hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Reginaldo Figueiredo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Renato Fantini having to interfere. After 80 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Bruno Bastos Futebol Club! Luiz Fernando Tinoco shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Bruno Bastos Futebol Club's Jorginho Loyola played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benedito Gerber in the 85th minute of play. In the 87th minute, Diguinho Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 89 minutes, Benedito Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cacambinha AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benedito Gerber was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Manuel Reis struck a weak shot in the 93rd minute. Jorginho Loyola didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cacambinha AD. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Benedito Gerber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cacambinha AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Benedito Gerber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jorginho Loyola breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cacambinha AD walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
