Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Marcinho das Neves got the match started through his kick off. The supporters of Pariri booed when Patis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felipe Montenegro didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Pariri's Clóvis Carvalho got a free kick in the 4th minute. After 7th play minutes Felipe Montenegro shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Sandro Mineiro and just under the crossbar into goal. If Marcinho das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 25th minute, Felipe Montenegro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Patis fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. If Felipe Montenegro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pariri's Leonardo Pires got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Patis's Marcinho das Neves in the 35th minute got a chance for a shot 35th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Pariri's goalie prevented a goal. Felipe Montenegro struck a weak shot in the 46th minute. Sandro Mineiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patis. Davi Lira hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Almir Pereira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Mineiro having to interfere. If Marcinho das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Pariri defense, Almir Pereira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Sandro Mineiro. The Pariri fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Sandro Mineiro should have stopped the shot. Felipe Montenegro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Sandro Mineiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Marcinho das Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. Luciano Guerra might have been able to make a better finish in the 95th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mazinho Pereira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luciano Guerra ran back to his position shaking his head. The Patis supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Patis would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
