Spectators: 6652 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1652, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Marco Diniz kicked off to start the match. In the 6th minute, Olavo Silva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Horácio Guimarães in the 10thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Cristóvão Marquez, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Olavo Silva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 12th minute, Davi Fernandes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Olavo Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristóvão Marquez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 19th minute Dida de Souza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edgard Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Olavo Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot. Candido's supporters rose to their feet, but Olavo Silva was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristóvão Marquez breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 40 minutes, Horácio Guimarães managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Candido's supporters crossed their fingers, but Horácio Guimarães was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cristóvão Marquez made an important save on a dangerous shot by Custódio Neves in the 44th minute. The Candido players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Black White Stars were winning 0-1.

The wind increased when Olavo Silva made the kick off in the second half. Black White Stars's Cristóvão Marquez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Horácio Guimarães in the 56th minute of play. Olavo Silva scored 1-1 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Cristóvão Marquez, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Marcus Saraiva hit a great freekick 61 minutes into the match. When Custódio Neves fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Candido's protests and gave Custódio Neves a yellow card for diving instead. If Horácio Guimarães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute.
