The Iomere fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristóvão Quintal should have stopped the shot. Cristóvão Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodolfo de Amorim, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 16 minutes, Juvenal Lago made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Iomere's Cristóvão Quintal tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Juvenal Lago put it in 2-3 from a short distance just to the right of Cristóvão Quintal. Juvenal Lago's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristóvão Quintal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 38th minute of play. After having played for 44 minutes, Hélder Fernandez managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iomere's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélder Fernandez was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Juvenal Lago was the one to do the kick off. Juvenal Lago who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 86thth minute tested the skills of Cristóvão Quintal when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cristóvão Quintal stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Juvenal Lago's shot from short distance in the 87th minute. In the 87thth minute of the game Juvenal Lago who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Iomere's Cristóvão Quintal was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Juvenal Lago's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Cristóvão Quintal was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. When the final whistle sounded Kakaroto FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Iomere.
