When Sallesopolis's Tarcisio Negri in the 20th minute got a chance for a shot 20th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Lanceiro's goalie prevented a goal. Aleandro Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Naldo Soeiro having to interfere. César Passoss short, quick shot in the 29thth minute got Benjamin Machado to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Aleandro Barbosa struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Naldo Soeiro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Lanceiro. Doni Saraiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Naldo Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 39 played minutes, Lanceiro's Durvalino Nascimento shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Naldo Soeiro came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Lanceiro reached it. Naldo Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doni Saraiva in the 40th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Sallesopolis's Tarcisio Negri slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Benjamin Machado. That made the score 1-1 after 45 minutes of play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 51st minute, Doni Saraiva got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 53 minutes in the game, Doni Saraiva fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Naldo Soeiro having to interfere. 55 minutes into the match, Sallesopolis's goal looked a bit too open when Doni Saraiva came free, but Naldo Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Sallesopolis booed when Lanceiro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rafinha Lira didn't get a good kick on the ball.
