Suez SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Galáticos Futebol Clube the free kick. 36 minutes into the match, Galáticos Futebol Clube's Daniel Mirowski sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Guto Souto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Caco Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Galáticos Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Caco Moreno couldn't finish the play. Galáticos Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Galáticos Futebol Clube's Jacinto Pitta got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jacinto Pitta to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute Caco Moreno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Guto Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacinto Pitta took the ball and in the 65 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Guto Souto. Guto Souto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After having played for 69 minutes, Daniel Mirowski managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galáticos Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Mirowski was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 70 minutes into the match, Jacinto Pitta notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Suez SS's Guto Souto. Guto Souto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Caco Moreno recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 80 minutes into the match, Suez SS's goal looked a bit too open when Daniel Mirowski came free, but Guto Souto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd match minute, Galáticos Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rubens da Costa to maneuver through the defense. Josué Paiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zé Cordeiro in the 84th minute of the match. After 86 minutes Galáticos Futebol Clube's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Pedro Paulo Terra who took care of the corner kick. Suez SS's Pedro Paulo Terra was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Josué Paiva in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After having played for 90 minutes, Jacinto Pitta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Galáticos Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Pitta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Suez SS's goalkeeper Guto Souto, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Suez SS's zone, Jacinto Pitta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Guto Souto came out of the goal and Jacinto Pitta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Galáticos Futebol Clube's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
