The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Adilson Coelho during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Luís Eduardo Monteiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anderson Marques, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Anderson Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 34th minute Haroldo Viana shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Negri saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

With a little luck, Chernobyll's Luís Eduardo Monteiro got control of the ball when Anderson Marques tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Anderson Marques had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. FlaUdi's Amadeu Negri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haroldo Viana in the 58th minute of play. In the 69th match minute, FlaUdi was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcelinho Barral to maneuver through the defense. Adhemar Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Luís Eduardo Monteiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Anderson Marques got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Chernobyll booed when FlaUdi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gil Tróia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ruy Baptista sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The FlaUdi supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FlaUdi would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
