But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Cardozo couldn't finish the play. If Ubanwa Saka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Danilo Mello received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Virgílio Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 30th match minute, SE Winter Is Coming was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cássio Dias to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Aírton Pontes in the 31st minute really tested Virgílio Souto's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Aírton Pontes, 34 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 39 minutes into the match, SE Winter Is Coming's Ubanwa Saka sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Delfim Passos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ubanwa Saka fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Passos having to interfere. Pedro Augusto Pires might have been able to make a better finish in the 46th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Virgílio Souto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedro Augusto Pires ran back to his position shaking his head.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ubanwa Saka was the one to do the kick off. Ubanwa Saka blasted a shot towards the goal in the 51st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Delfim Passos having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Ingaseiro's Márcio Toscano got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute of the match Andrej Dúbravec shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Delfim Passos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Ubanwa Saka had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Delfim Passos was out of position in the 55 minute of play, and Andrej Dúbravec capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Andrej Dúbravec really showed his touch with that goal: 0-1. If Andrej Dúbravec had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ubanwa Saka sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Pedro Augusto Pires charged in rather forcefully in the 70th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pedro Augusto Pires the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The crowd rose to their feet as Andrej Dúbravec kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Delfim Passos. That made the score 0-3 in the 86 minute of play. In the 91st minute, Jaime Corrêa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The SE Winter Is Coming supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SE Winter Is Coming would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
