If Wágner Ferraz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Delfim Azevedo was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cido Silveira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 3 minute of play. Ricardo Marquez hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Wágner Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience was convinced that Cido Silveira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Delfim Azevedo was relentless in the 11th minute of the game. Jerônimo Lima fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tião Santos having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Tuiuti's zone, Serafim Arantes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tião Santos came out of the goal and Serafim Arantes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute, Ivo Pitta hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jerônimo Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Tião Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the match, Cedrolina AD's goalkeeper Delfim Azevedo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wágner Ferraz. The supporters of Cedrolina AD booed when Tuiuti was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilton Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. João Francisco Linhares took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tião Santos. Tuiuti's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cido Silveira in the 29th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delfim Azevedo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Wilton Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 38th minute of the match. Jerônimo Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Tião Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jerônimo Lima in the 42nd minute of play forced Tuiuti's goalkeeper Tião Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cido Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 4-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jerônimo Lima made a kick off. After having played for 53 minutes, Cido Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tuiuti's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cido Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Wágner Ferraz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some careless play in the Cedrolina AD defense, Cido Silveira kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Delfim Azevedo. The Cedrolina AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Delfim Azevedo should have stopped the shot. 68 minutes into the game, Cido Silveira cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 6-0. Delfim Azevedo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Wágner Ferraz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elias Trancoso took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 78th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Delfim Azevedo. Cedrolina AD's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Wágner Ferraz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tuiuti's supporters rose to their feet, but Wágner Ferraz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delfim Azevedo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Cedrolina AD getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Jardel Linhares hit a great ball. Delfim Azevedo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cido Silveira's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. Cido Silveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Delfim Azevedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tuiuti's Cido Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
