Emerson Albuquerque stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Aílton Matorin. 1-0. Adilson Teixeira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 33rd playminute. Jailson Trigo charged in rather forcefully in the 36th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Alfredão Seco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 93rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adilson Teixeira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Aílton Matorin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The São Paulo FC fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Panturrilhans had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
