A very good chance. José Lira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mané Andrade, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. In the 25th minute, Simão Gerber reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Filipe Pitta. The goal made the score 1-0. José Lira came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Royal Anderlecht's Sebastião Dias. But to his dismay, Sebastião Dias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. João Vítor Passos kicked well hit freekick during the 37th minute of the match. Amadeu Sena's late challenge caught a Royal Anderlecht's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Amadeu Sena helped the player get up and apologised. After 44 played minutes Galera HC got a freekick which was hit by Amadeu Sena. In the 45th minute Mané Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but José Lira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Simão Gerber to strike the kick off in the second half. Filipe Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Gerber in the 52nd minute of play. Diogo Pombal struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Filipe Pitta didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galera HC. 56 minutes into the match, Galera HC's goalkeeper José Lira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Sebastião Dias. Filipe Pitta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Simão Gerber in the 61st minute of the match. Diogo Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Pitta having to interfere. In the 64th minute, Simão Gerber got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Pombal in the 66th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Filipe Pitta saved Royal Anderlecht from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Royal Anderlecht's João Vítor Schmidt got a free kick in the 66th minute. A collision led to Royal Anderlecht getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Donato Ceresso hit a great ball. In the 71st minute Simão Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Filipe Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 73 played minutes, Galera HC's Adelino Arantes shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Filipe Pitta came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Galera HC reached it. Diogo Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Pitta having to interfere. Simão Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Filipe Pitta tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diogo Pombal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Filipe Pitta having to interfere. A very good chance. The supporters of Galera HC booed when Royal Anderlecht was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
