The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Palmeiras Poty. Xavier Lucan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Matheus Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 38th minute. 40 minutes into the match, Pococs's goalkeeper Xavier Lucan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Ferraz. A collision led to Pococs getting a freekick after 40 minutes play. Agostinho Donato hit a great ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sidnei Veiga during the 43rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Palmeiras Poty booed when Pococs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Pococs's Xavier Lucan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matheus Tavares in the 74th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Paulo José Mello in the 77th minute of play forced Palmeiras Poty's goalkeeper Matheus Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Danilo Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 95th minute of the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Palmeiras Poty fully deserved thier win.
