When the match had gone on for 26 minutes, Matheus Tavares put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Aílton Matorin. After 37 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Panturrilhans! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Aílton Matorin was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 83 minutes into the match, Palmeiras Poty's goalkeeper Matheus Mota had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredão Seco. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinei Corrêa in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Aílton Matorin saved SC Panturrilhans from getting behind. When Luís Paulo Alvarenga came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the SC Panturrilhans fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Paulo Alvarenga couldn't finish the play. If Matheus Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Palmeiras Poty fully deserved thier win.
