João Pedro Alcântara scored 0-1 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roberto de Lima, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 20 minutes into the match, Pococs's goalkeeper Xavier Lucan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Genílson Viana. Roberto de Lima made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Paulo José Mello in the 21st minute of play. In the 22nd minute, Sidnei Veiga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Paulo José Mello might have been able to make a better finish in the 27th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roberto de Lima. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Paulo José Mello ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 29th minute Mazinho Netto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Xavier Lucan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Paulo José Mello came up free with the goalie in the 36th minute, the Pococs fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paulo José Mello couldn't finish the play. 36 minutes into the match, Glacial F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when João Pedro Alcântara came free, but Roberto de Lima reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by João Pedro Alcântara in the 39th minute of play forced Glacial F.C.'s goalkeeper Roberto de Lima to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 41 minutes into the match, Pococs's goalkeeper Xavier Lucan had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Vinícius Jacinto. Roberto de Lima showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo José Mello, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmílson Cearense in the 62nd minute of play forced Pococs's goalkeeper Xavier Lucan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Albertinho Brodel had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 71st minute, Pococs's Albertinho Brodel ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Roberto de Lima. Roberto de Lima yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Xavier Lucan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mazinho Netto in the 75th minute of play. Edmílson Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Xavier Lucan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Danilo Netto's late challenge caught a Glacial F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Danilo Netto helped the player get up and apologised. 90 minutes into the match, Albertinho Brodel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Roberto de Lima. Glacial F.C.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Albertinho Brodel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-4. Xavier Lucan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Cearense in the 93rd minute of play. The Glacial F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Pococs's performance. The match ended with a win for Pococs.
