Itacurussa's Artur dos Santos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save Itacurussa from getting a goal against them. Artur dos Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amauri Dias in the 6th minute of the match. The supporters of Itacurussa booed when OKAIDA FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olavo Mattos didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Adrianinho Gerber fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Itacurussa's protests and gave Adrianinho Gerber a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of OKAIDA FC booed when Itacurussa was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adrianinho Gerber didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Itacurussa defense, Amauri Dias kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Artur dos Santos. The Itacurussa fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Artur dos Santos should have stopped the shot. 32 minutes into the match, Itacurussa's goal looked a bit too open when Clemente Nascimento came free, but Artur dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Paulo Soares in the 34th minute of play forced Itacurussa's goalkeeper Artur dos Santos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Perivaldo Magalhães came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by Itacurussa's Celso Mello. But to his dismay, Celso Mello quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Celso Mello to make the kick off. Luís Paulo Soares struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Artur dos Santos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for OKAIDA FC. Celso Mello scored 2-2 in the 59th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Perivaldo Magalhães, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 68 minutes into the match, Itacurussa's goal looked a bit too open when Olavo Mattos came free, but Artur dos Santos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Artur dos Santos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Paulo Soares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Celso Mello had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 77th minute, Luís Paulo Soares made a precise shot to the right of Artur dos Santos. Itacurussa's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-2. A collision led to OKAIDA FC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Luís Paulo Soares hit a great ball. Itacurussa's Artur dos Santos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Paulo Soares in the 82nd minute of play. Artur dos Santos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amauri Dias, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute.
