He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sumaré-SP reached it. Robinho Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Lima in the 17th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Sumaré-SP was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fabinho Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Robinho Maranhense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Conrado Prado, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. When Luiz Fernando Veiga in the 25th play minute got the chance to kick a hard shot on goal from short distance neither the defense or Elder Brasil kept up with the ball and suddenly the score was 1-0 when the ball slipped into goal inside the left pole. Araranguá EC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jeremias Paranaense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Elder Brasil showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Fernando Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Guilherme Braga to strike the kick off in the second half. Luiz Fernando Veiga scored 5-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Elder Brasil, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Luiz Fernando Veiga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Sumaré-SP's Fabinho Guedes got a free kick in the 86th minute. Ronaldão Cardoso's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Robinho Maranhense firmly grabbed it by the left post. When Sumaré-SP's Guilherme Braga in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie.
