Spectators: 7240 (Terracing: 5432, Seating: 1665, VIP seats: 143) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Erivaldo Arruda started the match with the kick off. When Erivaldo Arruda came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Commerciale FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Erivaldo Arruda couldn't finish the play. When Gino França fell near the penalty area in the 18th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Docimhas's protests and gave Gino França a yellow card for diving instead. In the 18th minute, Gino França hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Celso Souto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, Erivaldo Arruda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 35th minute, Commerciale FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Humberto Matorin fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. After some careless play in the Docimhas defense, Erivaldo Arruda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Luiz Teles. The Docimhas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Luiz Teles should have stopped the shot. When Celso Souto came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Docimhas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Souto couldn't finish the play. Erivaldo Arruda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luiz Teles having to interfere. Luiz Fernando Cunha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Pedro Luiz Teles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Celso Souto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Erivaldo Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Commerciale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erivaldo Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sílvio Luiz Paiva hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. In the 57th minute of the match Tostão Hermes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cafu Kimmich showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 63rd minute, Luiz Fernando Cunha got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Erivaldo Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gino França didn't get a good kick on the ball. 68 minutes into the match, Roberto Maciel notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Commerciale FC's Cafu Kimmich. Cafu Kimmich was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Docimhas defense, Luiz Fernando Cunha kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Pedro Luiz Teles. The Docimhas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Pedro Luiz Teles should have stopped the shot. After 78 minutes of play, Docimhas's Celso Souto made it 3-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Cafu Kimmich was left in no man's land by his defense there! 84 minutes into the game, Docimhas's Celso Souto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cafu Kimmich made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-2. Commerciale FC's Cafu Kimmich played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Celso Souto in the 90th minute of play. After having played for 97 minutes, Erivaldo Arruda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Commerciale FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Erivaldo Arruda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Docimhas's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
