The referee showed Luís Paulo Couto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. 14 minutes into the match, Pisa Fofo Esporte Clube's goalkeeper Luís Guilherme Botelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luiz Fernando Cunha. Luís Guilherme Botelho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erivaldo Arruda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Commerciale FC booed when Pisa Fofo Esporte Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mário de Senna didn't get a good kick on the ball. Agostinho Torres kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Commerciale FC's Erivaldo Arruda got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Jairo Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Kimmich having to interfere. If Erivaldo Arruda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 33rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Pisa Fofo Esporte Clube's zone, Erivaldo Arruda stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Luís Guilherme Botelho came out of the goal and Erivaldo Arruda tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erivaldo Arruda to strike the kick off in the second half. Luís Guilherme Botelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erivaldo Arruda in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Mário de Senna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 61st minute Erivaldo Arruda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Guilherme Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Luiz Fernando Cunha took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luís Guilherme Botelho. Luís Guilherme Botelho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. In the 66th match minute, Commerciale FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Fernando Cunha to maneuver through the defense. In the 68th minute of the match Jorginho Oliveira sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Cafu Kimmich skillfully saved the ball. Luís Guilherme Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erivaldo Arruda in the 75th minute of play. Cafu Kimmich made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Jairo Loyola sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Luiz Fernando Cunha in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luís Guilherme Botelho saved Pisa Fofo Esporte Clube from getting behind. Jairo Loyola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cafu Kimmich having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Agostinho Torres during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 90th minute there was a penalty for Commerciale FC. Válbson Hermes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Luís Guilherme Botelho. 4-0.
