When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Edmílson Esteves made a kick off. Sapesal's Jorge França got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sapesal's Kléberson Castro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 55th minute of the match, managed to save Sapesal from getting a goal against them. Benjamim Freire made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. After 83 minutes of play, Sapesal's Severino Santana made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Benjamim Freire was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 86th minute, one of El Gallinero:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for El Gallinero. Caio Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Caio Vides in the 93rd minute of play forced El Gallinero's goalkeeper Benjamim Freire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Severino Santana came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the Sapesal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Santana couldn't finish the play.
