In the 45thth minute of the game Edmílson Esteves who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poa Zna Leste's Juan Aguiar was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Edmílson Esteves made the kick off in the second half. Benjamim Freire made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Edgar Sousa sent off a good shot on target. El Gallinero's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Jorginho Falcão scored to the left of an out of position Benjamim Freire, making the score, 1-2. After having played for 73 minutes, Edmílson Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. El Gallinero's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmílson Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 76 minutes into the match, El Gallinero's goalkeeper Benjamim Freire had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Edgar Sousa. If Edgar Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Poa Zna Leste's Jardel Félix in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye El Gallinero's goalie prevented a goal. Juan Aguiar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeu Lima in the 87th minute of the match. After 89th play minutes Edmílson Esteves shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Juan Aguiar and just under the crossbar into goal. El Gallinero's Tadeu Lima got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
