In the 17th minute, Adelino Sabóia ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. André Luiz Marques was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 20 minutes into the game, Beronhoso Futebol Clube's Danilo Neiva nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Luís Fabiano Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. Danilo Neiva fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luís Fabiano Toledo having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Elias Falcão reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Luís Fabiano Toledo. The goal made the score 2-1. With a little luck, Pimenteiras FC's Luís Fabiano Toledo got control of the ball when Danilo Neiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. 33 minutes into the game, Amauri da Cunha was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Beronhoso Futebol Clube's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pimenteiras FC the free kick. Amauri da Cunha hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Luís Fabiano Toledo came out of the goal in the 38th minute to try and stop a shot by Beronhoso Futebol Clube's Elias Falcão. But to his dismay, Elias Falcão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. Amauri da Cunha kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Pimenteiras FC's Jeremias Tasso got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jeremias Tasso in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck André Luiz Marques prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Jeremias Tasso might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over André Luiz Marques. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeremias Tasso ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-1 at half-time.

Pimenteiras FC's Luís Fabiano Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Danilo Neiva in the 64th minute of play. Raúl Cearense hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. Elias Falcão struck a weak shot in the 68th minute. Luís Fabiano Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Beronhoso Futebol Clube. Amauri da Cunha got his second yellow card in the match during the 73rd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. The supporters of Pimenteiras FC booed when Beronhoso Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amauri da Cunha didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dedê Ceresso in the 76th minute of play forced Beronhoso Futebol Clube's goalkeeper André Luiz Marques to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Pimenteiras FC's Luís Fabiano Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Falcão in the 81st minute of play. Luís Fabiano Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Elias Falcão in the 83rd minute of play. Danilo Neiva received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Luís Fabiano Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Beronhoso Futebol Clube's goalkeeper André Luiz Marques had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Jeremias Tasso. Luís Fabiano Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edu Aguiar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. André Luiz Marques made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedê Ceresso in the 91st minute of play. Maurinho Guedes's late challenge caught a Pimenteiras FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Maurinho Guedes helped the player get up and apologised.
