Lauro Arruda hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. A collision led to Vila Velha getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Lauro Arruda hit a great ball. Lino Magalhães, 6 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Dagoberto Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wellington Tande came out of the goal in the 15th minute to try and stop a shot by Coyotes FC's Nico dos Santos. But to his dismay, Nico dos Santos quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Nico dos Santos blasted a shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wellington Tande having to make a save. After 19 minutes of play, Coyotes FC's Frédson Eger made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Wellington Tande was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 29th minute, Frédson Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nico dos Santos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Nico dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Frédson Eger sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frédson Eger fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wellington Tande having to interfere. Wellington Tande showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nico dos Santos in the 41st minute of the match. Cristóvão Alagoano's late challenge caught a Coyotes FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristóvão Alagoano helped the player get up and apologised. In the 42nd minute, Cristóvão Alagoano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Nico dos Santos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half Coyotes FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Nico dos Santos to make the kick off. Nico dos Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Wellington Tande tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frédson Eger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 68th minute, Dagoberto Zanette managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vila Velha's supporters rose to their feet, but Dagoberto Zanette was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Erasmo Vergílio breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Wellington Tande took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nico dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Frédson Eger kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 73rdth minute. Though ot was a great shot Vila Velha's keeper Wellington Tande was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. Dida Ferreira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Vila Velha's Dagoberto Zanette nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erasmo Vergílio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. 86 minutes in the game, Nico dos Santos fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Wellington Tande having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dida Ferreira in the 91st minute of play forced Coyotes FC's goalkeeper Erasmo Vergílio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Dagoberto Zanette had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 95 minutes into the game, Vila Velha's Chiquinho Saldanha nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Erasmo Vergílio made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. Coyotes FC played a much better game than Vila Velha and deserved their victory. The Vila Velha players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
