The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Percy Vergílio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Percy Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Manoel de Azevedo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tales Torres hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. If Marquinhos Quirino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Mandrak in the 20th minute of play forced Centauros's goalkeeper Miguel Barbosa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Diego Palmeira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Centauros's Miguel Barbosa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Mandrak in the 32nd minute of play. When Horácio Santana fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Centauros's protests and gave Horácio Santana a yellow card for diving instead. In the 41st minute, Horácio Santana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Diamantino Mazza hit a great freekick 43 minutes into the match. 44 minutes into the match, Sport Club Allianz's Dorival Ferraz broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide.
