After 12 played minutes Pedra Dura got a freekick which was hit by Raphael Queirós. 14 minutes into the match, Sly FC's goal looked a bit too open when Silas Dracena came free, but Wágner de Barros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silas Dracena in the 17th minute of play forced Sly FC's goalkeeper Wágner de Barros to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 19 minutes, Nilton Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sly FC and the Pedra Dura players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nilton Nascimento hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Murilo Pereira charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Murilo Pereira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Silas Dracena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wágner de Barros having to interfere. Wágner de Barros showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silas Dracena, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. 45 minutes into the match, Sly FC's André Carneiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Pedro Paulo Fonseca narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Silas Dracena to strike the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Silas Dracena kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wágner de Barros. That made the score 1-2 in the 52 minute of play. When Bebeto Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sly FC's protests and gave Bebeto Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. Bebeto Esteves hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Wágner de Barros took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Silas Dracena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wágner de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Dracena in the 65th minute of play. If Valdo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sly FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 68th minute, when Silas Dracena scored to the left of an out of position Wágner de Barros, making the score, 1-3. In the 74thth minute of the game Silas Dracena who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sly FC's Wágner de Barros was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Kauan Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Paulo Fonseca having to interfere. In the 77th minute, Murilo Pereira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Wágner de Barros made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Silas Dracena in the 79th minute of play. When Tarcisio Ortiz fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sly FC's protests and gave Tarcisio Ortiz a yellow card for diving instead. If Valdo Leite had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Silas Dracena had several of the Sly FC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 95 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-5 score and a disappointed Wágner de Barros as he didn't even see the shot coming. When the match was over Pedra Dura could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Sly FC throughout the match.
