Uberlândia EC's Alfredão Fantini proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Uberlândia EC from getting a goal against them. When Zé Pedro Paraibano came up free with the goalie in the 16th minute, the Uberlândia EC fans jumped to their feet. Golbagoli Futebol Clube's Acácio Simão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Walmyr Rosado in the 18th minute of play. Fernando Paraíba received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Alfredão Fantini came out and tried to block the shot, but Fernando Paraíba slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Igor Guedes got free with Alfredão Fantini in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 34 minutes into the match, Uberlândia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Igor Guedes came free, but Alfredão Fantini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Golbagoli Futebol Clube's Fernando Paraíba slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alfredão Fantini. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Zé Pedro Paraibano to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Golbagoli Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Acácio Simão had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Walmyr Rosado. In the 56th minute, Walmyr Rosado fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Acácio Simão, passed just outside the right post. Zé Pedro Paraibano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Acácio Simão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Uberlândia EC's goalkeeper Alfredão Fantini, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 65th minute, Fernando Paraíba ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alfredão Fantini was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. With a little luck, Golbagoli Futebol Clube's Acácio Simão got control of the ball when Walmyr Rosado tried to sneak it across the goal line. Walmyr Rosado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alfredão Fantini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Igor Guedes in the 96th minute of play. Golbagoli Futebol Clube were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
