After having played for 3 minutes, Roberto Baptista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Aguacu AD's supporters crossed their fingers, but Roberto Baptista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Michel de Carvalho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Jacinto Barral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cauã Teixeira got free with Edvaldo Zanette in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 18th minute, Roberto Baptista got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The audience was convinced that Roberto Baptista's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Barral was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. A collision led to Cristais SS getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Mané de Carvalho hit a great ball. Cristais SS's Arthur Simão got a good chance for a goal in the 26th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 31 played minutes Aguacu AD got a freekick which was hit by Michel de Carvalho. Edvaldo Zanette made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Cauã Teixeira sent off a good shot on target. Charles Bittencourt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Edvaldo Zanette tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edvaldo Zanette didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 46th minute, which inside left pole to 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Roberto Baptista kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. In the 61st minute Cauã Teixeira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edvaldo Zanette saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aguacu AD's Edvaldo Zanette played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Charles Bittencourt in the 66th minute of play. When Ronaldo Braga fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Aguacu AD's protests and gave Ronaldo Braga a yellow card for diving instead. Ronaldo Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Cafu Soares hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Michel de Carvalho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacinto Barral having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cristais SS's zone, Roberto Baptista stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Barral came out of the goal and Roberto Baptista tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 76 minutes into the game, Egídio Passos was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cristais SS's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Aguacu AD the free kick. In the 75th minute, one of Cristais SS:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Cristais SS. 81 minutes into the match, Charles Bittencourt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edvaldo Zanette. Aguacu AD's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Charles Bittencourt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. Charles Bittencourt took the ball and in the 87 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edvaldo Zanette. Edvaldo Zanette dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-2. Edvaldo Zanette showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Charles Bittencourt in the 93rd minute of the match. In the 95th minute, Cauã Teixeira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 98th minute, Charles Bittencourt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cristais SS's supporters rose to their feet, but Charles Bittencourt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edvaldo Zanette breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
