In the 11th minute, Calderao AD's Artur Correia seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Artur Correia the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Calderao AD protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Artur Correia had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 10th minute, one of Calderao AD:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Calderao AD. If Gerson Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 23 minutes into the game, Clemente Medeiros cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Joaquim Bezerra was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Joaquim Bezerra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Léo Fernandez in the 27th minute of the match. Joaquim Bezerra didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Umberto Nogueira went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. Joaquim Bezerra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Clemente Medeiros in the 34th minute of play. Joaquim Bezerra took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mané Arce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the match, Calderao AD's goal looked a bit too open when Umberto Nogueira came free, but Joaquim Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gerson Neto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Dracena having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Calderao AD's Arnaldo Monteiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dé Dracena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Gerson Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Calderao AD's Luisinho Queirós got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Léo Fernandez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Joaquim Bezerra tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 48 minutes, Clemente Medeiros mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Zuffantastico and the Calderao AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Léo Fernandez to strike the kick off in the second half. When Clemente Medeiros came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Zuffantastico fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clemente Medeiros couldn't finish the play. Gerson Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Dé Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Calderao AD's goal looked a bit too open when Léo Fernandez came free, but Joaquim Bezerra reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luisinho Queirós during the 62nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Gerson Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Arnaldo Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Zuffantastico's Clemente Medeiros slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joaquim Bezerra. That made the score 0-4 after 83 minutes of play. Gerson Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Dé Dracena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Luisinho Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. Calderao AD's supporters rose to their feet, but Luisinho Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dé Dracena breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dé Dracena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gabriel Quadros's shot from short distance in the 92nd minute.
