Nildo Fernandes was out of position in the 14 minute of play, and Erik Correia capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Erik Correia really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. José Carlos Sena could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Nildo Fernandes made a huge save. Nildo Fernandes made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when José Carlos Sena sent off a good shot on target. 30 minutes into the match, BAHIA's goalkeeper Nildo Fernandes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by José Carlos Sena. BAHIA's Luisinho Ortiz has a good shot, but didn't show it this time. The shot went over the crossbar in the 32nd minute. Júlio Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 35 minutes, Erik Correia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the FootParty and the BAHIA players grew even worse after the yellow card. Erik Correia hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Júlio Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Seco having to interfere. Allan de Godoi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Percival Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 40th minute, Júlio Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Júlio Araújo made the kick off in the second half. The supporters of FootParty booed when BAHIA was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Percival Seco stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Júlio Araújo's shot from short distance in the 58th minute. The audience was convinced that Júlio Araújo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Percival Seco was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Allan de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Nildo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 68th minute. After 69th play minutes Júlio Araújo shot 2-1, a short shot which went by Percival Seco and just under the crossbar into goal. Nildo Fernandes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erik Correia in the 73rd minute of play. Júlio Araújo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Percival Seco tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Allan de Godoi kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, BAHIA's Sérgio de Castro got a free kick in the 79th minute. Nildo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Sena, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers José Carlos Sena in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Nildo Fernandes saved BAHIA from getting behind. Júlio Araújo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Seco having to interfere. BAHIA's Nildo Fernandes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Carlos Sena in the 88th minute of play. Clóvis Simões fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Percival Seco having to interfere. A collision led to FootParty getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. José Bastos hit a great ball. The FootParty players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
