After 21 minutes, Júlio Araújo made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Getulina SC's Gino Melo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jânio Fonseca during the 24th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 24th match minute, BAHIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jânio Fonseca to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 41 minutes, Allan de Godoi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. BAHIA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Allan de Godoi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the game, Kauan Arruda was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Getulina SC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave BAHIA the free kick. Kauan Arruda kicked well hit freekick during the 45th minute of the match. After 46 minutes of play BAHIA's Jânio Fonseca was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Nildo Fernandes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Álvaro Leme, who was totally free with the ball in the 55th minute. Nildo Fernandes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Paulo Borges, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 58 minutes into the game, Álvaro Leme cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-2. Nildo Fernandes was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After 62 minutes, Allan de Godoi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the BAHIA and the Getulina SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kauan Arruda was shown his second yellow card after 64 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 65 played minutes Getulina SC got a freekick which was hit by Kauan Arruda. In the 66thth minute of the game Júlio Araújo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Getulina SC's Gino Melo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Allan de Godoi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 67th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Júlio Araújo received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Gino Melo came out and tried to block the shot, but Júlio Araújo slotted it home off the left post making it 3-3 in the 69th minute. Luisinho Ortiz might have been able to make a better finish in the 72nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gino Melo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Luisinho Ortiz ran back to his position shaking his head. Júlio Araújo in the 79thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Gino Melo, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Allan de Godoi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tadeu Veiga charged in rather forcefully in the 86th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Tadeu Veiga the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 86 played minutes Getulina SC got a freekick which was hit by Tadeu Veiga. Allan de Godoi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Gino Melo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. In the 91st minute, Allan de Godoi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Álvaro Leme hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Sérgio de Castro charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sérgio de Castro the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to BAHIA getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Sérgio de Castro hit a great ball. Álvaro Leme fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nildo Fernandes having to interfere.
