Ronaldinho Zanette was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 32nd minute, David Carioca fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fred de Queirós, passed just outside the right post. Frank Gaspar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fred de Queirós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and David Carioca made a kick off. If Jorge Lucas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Snorlax F.C.'s Naldo Moreno got a free kick in the 60th minute. In the 62nd minute, Juan Diniz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Irundi's Adrianinho Seco in the 64th minute got a chance for a shot 64th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Snorlax F.C.'s goalie prevented a goal. Leonel de Queiroz was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. In the last second Ronaldinho Zanette throw himself and got hold of the ball when Nelsinho Ramos in the 72ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Ronaldinho Zanette took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho Ramos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Wágner da Mata fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Irundi's protests and gave Wágner da Mata a yellow card for diving instead. In the 78th minute, Wágner da Mata hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 80th minute Snorlax F.C. were awarded a corner. José Augusto Netto went to the cornerflag to take it. Snorlax F.C.'s José Augusto Netto was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Ronaldinho Zanette in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. David Carioca recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrianinho Seco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fred de Queirós having to interfere. After 85 played minutes Irundi got a freekick which was hit by Erik de Azevedo. After recieving a nice pass, Snorlax F.C.'s José Augusto Netto tried to score from far away in the 86th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. An unexpected shot in the 88th minute by Jorge Lucas got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. In the 92nd minute Adrianinho Seco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fred de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Nelsinho Ramos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Irundi's Erik de Azevedo got a free kick in the 96th minute. The Snorlax F.C. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Snorlax F.C. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
