Spectators: 7236 (Terracing: 5429, Seating: 1664, VIP seats: 143) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Murilo Zanette got the match started through his kick off. 3 minutes into the match, Muxiopo's goal looked a bit too open when Serginho Teixeira came free, but Leandro Alves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Serginho Teixeira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Moju's supporters rose to their feet, but Serginho Teixeira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Leandro Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cleiton Matos charged in rather forcefully in the 6th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Cleiton Matos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Moju booed when Muxiopo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cleiton Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 15 minutes of play, Muxiopo's Germano de Mendonça made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Nuno Britto was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 19th minute, Dedé Lago hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teodoro Simões charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Teodoro Simões the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Teodoro Simões hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. In the 23rd minute of the match Ivo Vinhas sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nuno Britto skillfully saved the ball. Leandro Alves came out of the goal in the 27th minute to try and stop a shot by Moju's Dedé Lago. But to his dismay, Dedé Lago quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Murilo Zanette came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Muxiopo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Murilo Zanette couldn't finish the play. Gustavo Pena hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Leandro Alves stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Serginho Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Oséas Prata took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Leandro Alves. Muxiopo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Serginho Teixeira scored 1-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Leandro Alves, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Zanette in the 45th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Nuno Britto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dedé Lago to strike the kick off in the second half. The referee felt a red card was in order, 69 minutes into the game, when Abel Ferraz put in a rough tackle. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Muxiopo. Ivo Vinhas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Nuno Britto. 2-2. Teodoro Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Muxiopo getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Luís Paulo Sergipano hit a great ball. Germano de Mendonça recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Branco hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. Cleiton Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 89th minute of the match. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
