Spectators: 6300 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1280, VIP seats: 20) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Murilo Zanette started the match with the kick off. After a rather tough play, Jatal EC's Léo Quadros got a free kick in the 8th minute. Muxiopo were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Jatal EC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ivo Vinhas took the corner. After 11 minutes, Nestor Matos mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muxiopo and the Jatal EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Muxiopo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Matos to maneuver through the defense. If Claudinho Furlan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Claudinho Furlan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute Murilo Zanette shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tiago Veloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Muxiopo getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Nestor Matos hit a great ball. In the 30th minute of the match Léo Quadros sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leandro Alves skillfully saved the ball. In the 32nd minute Benjamin Toscano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Leandro Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Germano de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 minutes, Gustavo Pena mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Muxiopo and the Jatal EC players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Muxiopo getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gustavo Pena hit a great ball. 47 minutes into the match, Muxiopo's goalkeeper Leandro Alves had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudinho Furlan.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Germano de Mendonça during the 50th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 50 played minutes Muxiopo got a freekick which was hit by Germano de Mendonça. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Claudinho Furlan in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leandro Alves saved Muxiopo from getting behind. After some careless play in the Muxiopo defense, Claudinho Furlan kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Leandro Alves. The Muxiopo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Leandro Alves should have stopped the shot. 64 minutes into the match, Jatal EC's goalkeeper Tiago Veloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Germano de Mendonça. Leandro Alves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benjamin Toscano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Germano de Mendonça had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 72 minutes, Gustavo Pena managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Muxiopo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Gustavo Pena was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Germano de Mendonça sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiago Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cleiton Matos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Germano de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 79th minute. Tiago Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Paulo Sergipano could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 80th minute of the match, but Tiago Veloso made a huge save. When Benjamin Toscano came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Jatal EC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Benjamin Toscano couldn't finish the play. In the 86th minute, Jatal EC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Germano de Mendonça fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Germano de Mendonça received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Tiago Veloso tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
