Arlindo Favoretto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dedé Lago in the 5th minute of play. Arlindo Favoretto showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dedé Lago in the 12th minute of the match. Dedé Lago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arlindo Favoretto having to interfere. In the 19th minute, Moju's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Júlio de Godoi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Lobos Futebol Clube's Arlindo Favoretto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Serginho Teixeira in the 25th minute of play. After 26 played minutes Lobos Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Doni Freire. In the 28th minute, Wilton Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Abel Ferraz took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Arlindo Favoretto. Lobos Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Júnior de Castro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 37th minute, Dedé Lago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Dedé Lago sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Moju booed when Lobos Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Doni Freire didn't get a good kick on the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Dedé Lago made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Wilton Viana hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a left leg Nuno Britto saved Moju from getting behind. 70 minutes into the match, Moju's goal looked a bit too open when Júlio de Godoi came free, but Nuno Britto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Arlindo Favoretto was a little too slow when Dedé Lago got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 0-2. 81 minutes into the game, one of Lobos Futebol Clube:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 83rd minute there was a penalty for Moju. Abel Ferraz stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Arlindo Favoretto. 0-3. When Serginho Teixeira came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Moju fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Serginho Teixeira couldn't finish the play. Arlindo Favoretto was out of position in the 92 minute of play, and Dedé Lago capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dedé Lago really showed his touch with that goal: 0-4. Serginho Teixeira blasted a shot towards the goal in the 99th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Arlindo Favoretto having to make a save. Moju played a much better game than Lobos Futebol Clube and deserved their victory. The Lobos Futebol Clube players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
