Spectators: 6822 (Terracing: 5382, Seating: 1400, VIP seats: 40) Caiubi SC's Rodrigo Peixoto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of ArauCity Atletic Club booed when Caiubi SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 3 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filipe Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Víktor Leal lost his temper 11 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Laércio Passos in the 13th minute of play forced ArauCity Atletic Club's goalkeeper Wágner Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Caiubi SC's Luís Eduardo Brito got a free kick in the 15th minute. Rodrigo Peixoto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The crowd rose to their feet as Filipe Garcia kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Wágner Cruz. That made the score 1-0 in the 20 minute of play. After 23 minutes, Ulysses Catarinense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Caiubi SC and the ArauCity Atletic Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Caiubi SC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Ulysses Catarinense hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, ArauCity Atletic Club's Afonso Custódio tried to score from far away in the 24th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, 江奕海 managed to get in a good position for a shot. ArauCity Atletic Club's supporters rose to their feet, but 江奕海 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Maicon Neto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dida Cavalcante charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dida Cavalcante the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 45 played minutes Caiubi SC got a freekick which was hit by Dida Cavalcante. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

If Rodrigo Peixoto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 58 minutes into the match, ArauCity Atletic Club's goal looked a bit too open when Rodrigo Peixoto came free, but Wágner Cruz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Filipe Garcia was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. After a rather tough play, Caiubi SC's Filipe Garcia got a free kick in the 59th minute. 62 minutes in the game Frederico Guedes did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Ricardinho Loyola. 江奕海 struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Maicon Neto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ArauCity Atletic Club. Maicon Neto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from 江奕海 in the 79th minute of play. 江奕海 sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wágner Cruz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rodrigo Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute, Rodrigo Peixoto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some careless play in the ArauCity Atletic Club defense, Rodrigo Peixoto kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Wágner Cruz. The ArauCity Atletic Club fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Wágner Cruz should have stopped the shot. Caiubi SC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
