The audience was convinced that Albertinho Teixeira's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Egídio Corrêa was relentless in the 8th minute of the game. After having played for 9 minutes, Benê Arce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Martelet's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benê Arce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albertinho Teixeira in the 11th minute of play forced Agronomos fc's goalkeeper Egídio Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, Martelet's Nelson Monteiro got control of the ball when Murilo Dracena tried to sneak it across the goal line. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murilo Dracena stepped up to make the kick off in the second half.
