Ouro Negro's Anderson Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luís Paiva in the 16th minute of play. Dito Meirelles might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anderson Sena. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dito Meirelles ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 25th minute, Tadeu Nóbrega hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 32 minutes of play, Do Black's Walmyr Proença made it 4-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Anderson Sena was left in no man's land by his defense there! 38 minutes into the match, Do Black's Sílvio Luís Paiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Anderson Sena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 40th minute, Sílvio Luís Paiva left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Do Black fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 6-0. In the 47th minute, Dito Meirelles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 6-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sílvio Luís Paiva made a kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sílvio Luís Paiva in the 52nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Anderson Sena saved Ouro Negro from getting behind. 53 minutes into the game, Sílvio Luís Paiva cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-0. Anderson Sena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Walmyr Proença had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Eriberto Leite kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. After 60 played minutes Ouro Negro got a freekick which was hit by Otávio Pereira. After 65 minutes, Claudinei Rosado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ouro Negro and the Do Black players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 65th match minute, Ouro Negro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei Rosado to maneuver through the defense. Do Black's Sílvio Luís Paiva got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dito Meirelles struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Anderson Sena didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Do Black. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Ouro Negro's goalkeeper Anderson Sena, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Walmyr Proença recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Sílvio Luís Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ouro Negro's Anderson Sena was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Walmyr Proença in the 82nd minute of play forced Ouro Negro's goalkeeper Anderson Sena to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Sílvio Luís Paiva notched a goal, 9-0, to the right of Ouro Negro's Anderson Sena. Anderson Sena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 92 played minutes, Do Black's Natã Lopez shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Anderson Sena came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Do Black reached it. The supporters of Ouro Negro booed when Do Black was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sílvio Luís Paiva didn't get a good kick on the ball. Angelo Hermes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Belmiro de Queiroz having to interfere.
