Sandrinho Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bruno Sena in the 2nd minute of the match. Abel Dias blasted a shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ademar Sarmento having to make a save. A collision led to Clube de Campo getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Marcelo Prestes hit a great ball. Bruno Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandrinho Peres having to interfere. In the 21st minute, Clube de Campo's Bruno Sena ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Sandrinho Peres. Sandrinho Peres yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Adelino Nóbrega recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ademar Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Abel Dias in the 27th minute of play. 28 minutes had been played when some careless play by Clube de Campo's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Márcio Viana was slow to take the kick. During this time Biriricas's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Márcio Viana got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Ademar Sarmento quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After a defensive mix-up in Clube de Campo's zone, Abel Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademar Sarmento came out of the goal and Abel Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abel Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ademar Sarmento took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bruno Sena fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandrinho Peres having to interfere. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Bruno Sena's late challenge caught a Biriricas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Sena helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Clube de Campo's Bruno Sena got a free kick in the 56th minute. After 56 played minutes Clube de Campo got a freekick which was hit by Kléber Santana. 65 minutes into the game, Abel Dias recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ademar Sarmento. Abel Dias showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Abel Dias sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 74th minute, Bruno Sena ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sandrinho Peres was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After 78th play minutes Abel Dias shot 2-2, a short shot which went by Ademar Sarmento and just under the crossbar into goal. After a defensive mix-up in Clube de Campo's zone, Abel Dias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ademar Sarmento came out of the goal and Abel Dias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 85th minute, Richard Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Fábio de Barros blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ademar Sarmento having to make a save. Ademar Sarmento made an important save on a dangerous shot by Abel Dias in the 89th minute. In the 92nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Clube de Campo's goalkeeper Ademar Sarmento, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
