After 22 minutes of play, vasco sc's Igor Valadares made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Horácio Branco was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 25th match minute, vasco sc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Allan Alvarenga to maneuver through the defense. After 31 played minutes vasco sc got a freekick which was hit by Igor Valadares. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Igor Valadares in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Horácio Branco saved Demux - FSCMZ from getting behind. Laerte Abraão made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Agostinho Lucas sent off a good shot on target. When Igor Valadares came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the vasco sc fans jumped to their feet. After some fancy dribbling in the 78th minute, Sidney Vides managed to get in a good position for a shot. vasco sc's supporters rose to their feet, but Sidney Vides was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
