Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) After 3 minutes, Olívio Vargas mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Itapicuru SS and the Desportiva Guarabira players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 3rd minute, Olívio Vargas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 6 minutes into the match, Desportiva Guarabira's goal looked a bit too open when José Andrade came free, but Mário Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the match, Desportiva Guarabira's Abelardo Domingues sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vânderson Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 16thth minute of the game Nelsinho de Amaral who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Itapicuru SS's Vânderson Souza was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Desportiva Guarabira's Róbson Arantes managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Zézinho Moreno in the 23 minute of the game. 24 minutes into the game, Róbson Arantes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Desportiva Guarabira's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Itapicuru SS the free kick. A collision led to Desportiva Guarabira getting a freekick after 24 minutes play. Róbson Arantes hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, José Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot. Itapicuru SS's supporters rose to their feet, but José Andrade was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mário Peres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Desportiva Guarabira's Mário Peres got control of the ball when Zézinho Moreno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Nelsinho de Amaral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Elivélton Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Peres having to interfere. 41 minutes into the match, Desportiva Guarabira's goalkeeper Mário Peres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zézinho Moreno. Reginaldo Dionísio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Vânderson Souza tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nelsinho de Amaral made a kick off. 53 minutes into the match, Desportiva Guarabira's goal looked a bit too open when Zézinho Moreno came free, but Mário Peres reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vânderson Souza showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nelsinho de Amaral in the 54th minute of the match. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vânderson Souza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 59 played minutes Nelsinho de Amaral rounded Itapicuru SS's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. Nelsinho de Amarals short, quick shot in the 66thth minute got Vânderson Souza to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Mário Peres came out of the goal in the 67th minute to try and stop a shot by Itapicuru SS's Zézinho Moreno. But to his dismay, Zézinho Moreno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Nelsinho de Amaral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 71stth minute, Vânderson Souza skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. 77 minutes into the match, Desportiva Guarabira's Elivélton Amorim sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vânderson Souza narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mário Peres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Olívio Vargas in the 79th minute of the match. Mário Peres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Zézinho Moreno, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Abelardo Domingues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nelsinho de Amaral in the 90thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vânderson Souza, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 96 played minutes Itapicuru SS got a freekick which was hit by Olívio Vargas. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
