The supporters of Desportiva Guarabira booed when new time was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lauro de Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 8th minute, Lauro de Alcântara hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The long shot by Róbson Arantes in the 9th minute really tested Bruno Vergílio's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. In the 11th minute, Valdomiro de Souza left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The new time fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Percival Trigo hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. In the 17th minute, Geovânio da Costa hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nelsinho de Amaral had several of the new time's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 20 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 1-1 score and a disappointed Bruno Vergílio as he didn't even see the shot coming. Abelardo Domingues scored 2-1 in the 25th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bruno Vergílio, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 28 minutes into the match, new time's goalkeeper Bruno Vergílio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nelsinho de Amaral. Bruno Vergílio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reginaldo Dionísio in the 34th minute of play. In the 37th match minute, Desportiva Guarabira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abelardo Domingues to maneuver through the defense. 40 minutes into the game, Nelsinho de Amaral cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Bruno Vergílio was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Mário Peres didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Percival Trigo went, in the 46th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-2 was the resulting score. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-2. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Valdomiro de Souza made the kick off in the second half. Mário Peres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdomiro de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 54 played minutes Desportiva Guarabira got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Domingues. In the 58th minute, William Soeiro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Desportiva Guarabira fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 4-2. A collision led to Desportiva Guarabira getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Nelsinho de Amaral hit a great ball. Bruno Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nelsinho de Amaral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elivélton Amorim struck a weak shot in the 72nd minute. Bruno Vergílio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Desportiva Guarabira. Bruno Vergílio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelsinho de Amaral, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. William Soeiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nelsinho de Amaral in the 78th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bruno Vergílio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 84 minutes, Nelsinho de Amaral put it in 5-2 from a short distance just to the right of Bruno Vergílio. Reginaldo Dionísio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in new time's zone, Elivélton Amorim stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Vergílio came out of the goal and Elivélton Amorim tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Nelsinho de Amaral's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bruno Vergílio was relentless in the 95th minute of the game.
