CR Ryzers's Geovanni Veloso proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 5th minute of the match, managed to save CR Ryzers from getting a goal against them. In the 7th minute of the match Celting F C got a corner. CR Ryzers's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Edson Saldanha ran over to the corner to take the kick. Edmundo Braga was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Clóvis Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Monteiro in the 11th minute of the match. If Geovani Vinhas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Roger da Cunha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clóvis Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ademar Monteiro in the 19th minute of the match. Geovani Vinhas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Clóvis Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ademar Monteiro in the 22nd minute of play. Ademar Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geovanni Veloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nildo Prestes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Jorginho Paes fell near the penalty area in the 31st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celting F C's protests and gave Jorginho Paes a yellow card for diving instead. Jorginho Paes hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. In the 32nd minute of the match Gildo Rossi shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Clóvis Silva showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Celting F C's Nildo Prestes in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CR Ryzers's goalie prevented a goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Roger da Cunha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celting F C's supporters rose to their feet, but Roger da Cunha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Geovanni Veloso breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Geovani Vinhas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Clóvis Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nildo Prestes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. If Ademar Monteiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 78 minutes into the match, CR Ryzers's goal looked a bit too open when Nildo Prestes came free, but Geovanni Veloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 79th minute, one of Celting F C:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Celting F C. If Nildo Prestes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 92nd minute Ademar Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clóvis Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Geovani Vinhas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 100th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clóvis Silva having to interfere. The Celting F C supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching CR Ryzers's performance. The match ended with a win for CR Ryzers.
