In the 4th minute, Jacarecoara SS's Orlando Guerra dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Anísio da Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 21st minute, Mané Abreu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mané Abreu hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Rafal Grocholski did an outstanding performance 28 minutes into the match, when he by himself got past the opposing team's defense and with a quick scored 1-1 to the right of an irritated Adhemar Toledo in the goal. In the 39th match minute, Mundubim FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juvenal Madureira to maneuver through the defense. Karol Niedziela was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from José de Souza. Karol Niedziela took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orlando Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Diego Leão made a kick off. If Anísio da Silveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Anísio da Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adhemar Toledo having to interfere. Diego Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Jacarecoara SS's zone, Anísio da Silveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Adhemar Toledo came out of the goal and Anísio da Silveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. José de Souza's late challenge caught a Mundubim FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. José de Souza helped the player get up and apologised. After 62 played minutes Jacarecoara SS got a freekick which was hit by José de Souza. 64 minutes into the match, Jacarecoara SS's goal looked a bit too open when Diego Leão came free, but Adhemar Toledo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Karol Niedziela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Orlando Guerra in the 67th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anísio da Silveira got free with Adhemar Toledo in the 76th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 85th minute Diego Leão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adhemar Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jacarecoara SS's Orlando Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Enéas Corrêa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Karol Niedziela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Mundubim FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mundubim FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
