Spectators: 7100 (Terracing: 5434, Seating: 1666, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Benê Vasconcelos started the match with the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Guaxindiba AD's zone, Dino Massa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Elias Carvalho came out of the goal and Dino Massa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Guaxindiba AD's Elias Carvalho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Benê Vasconcelos in the 7th minute of play. Luís Fernando Quintal kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Guaxindiba AD's Doni Quadros got a free kick in the 9th minute. After 15 played minutes Guaxindiba AD got a freekick which was hit by Erik Schmidt. Dalmo Rezende made a fantastic save in the 18th minute, when Giovani Moura sent off a good shot on target. 19 minutes into the match, Guaxindiba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Benê Vasconcelos came free, but Elias Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Doni Quadros fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dalmo Rezende having to interfere. After 22 minutes, Ernesto Vale mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tipucu and the Guaxindiba AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ernesto Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Dalmo Rezende showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Giovani Moura, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Elias Carvalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benê Vasconcelos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tipucu's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Cristiano Veiga in the 29th minute. After having played for 44 minutes, Benê Vasconcelos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tipucu's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benê Vasconcelos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Elias Carvalho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dino Massa in the 48th minute of play. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Doni Quadros to make the kick off. When the match clock showed 61 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Giovani Moura sped through Tipucu's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Dalmo Rezende. Giovani Moura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Serafim Cunha was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 70th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Benê Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elias Carvalho having to interfere. Dino Massa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Elias Carvalho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 91 minutes into the match, Guaxindiba AD's goal looked a bit too open when Caio Severo came free, but Elias Carvalho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Guaxindiba AD defense, Dino Massa kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Elias Carvalho. The Guaxindiba AD fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Elias Carvalho should have stopped the shot. Tipucu played a much better game than Guaxindiba AD and deserved their victory. The Guaxindiba AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
