The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tipucu's supporters rose to their feet, but Dino Massa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Delfim Alves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dino Massa got free with Delfim Alves in the 27th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Tipucu booed when John Loki Futebol Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Cabral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Dino Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Alves having to interfere. 36 minutes into the match, Dino Massa dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Delfim Alves, 1-0. Dalmo Rezende showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Nunes in the 41st minute of the match. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Oscar Nunes to make the kick off. In the 57th minute the ball was on its way in behind John Loki Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Delfim Alves, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 59th minute Benê Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Alves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benê Vasconcelos in the 61st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Delfim Alves saved John Loki Futebol Clube from getting behind. Dino Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Delfim Alves having to interfere. Delfim Alves didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Benê Vasconcelos went, in the 65th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dino Massa in the 69th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Delfim Alves prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Cristiano Veiga took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 72nd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Delfim Alves. John Loki Futebol Clube's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Benê Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Delfim Alves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Loki Futebol Clube's Delfim Alves played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dino Massa in the 76th minute of play. Márcio Alves hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Tipucu fully deserved thier win.
