Tomás Dracena kicked well hit freekick during the 2nd minute of the match. Ararius's Mathias Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Fernando de Amaral in the 3rd minute of play. Amigos da Bola's Luiz Fábio Meirelles was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 6th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. 12 minutes into the match, Ararius's goal looked a bit too open when Luís Fernando de Amaral came free, but Mathias Porto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 12 minutes into the game, Carlos Fernando Messias was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ararius's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Amigos da Bola the free kick. In the 12th minute, Carlos Fernando Messias hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Luís Fernando de Amaral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Belmiro Mendes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Daniel Barral, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Waldemar Salles in the 33rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mathias Porto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Marcel Goiano recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 35th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Luís Fernando de Amaral was extremely unlucky when he, in the 40th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Belmiro Mendes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Daniel Barral, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Luís Fernando de Amaral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mathias Porto having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Daniel Barral to strike the kick off in the second half. Waldemar Salles might have been able to make a better finish in the 52nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mathias Porto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Waldemar Salles ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 54th match minute, Ararius was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by José Carlos Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. When Tomás Dracena fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ararius's protests and gave Tomás Dracena a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Amigos da Bola booed when Ararius was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tomás Dracena didn't get a good kick on the ball. José Carlos Carvalho hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. 64 minutes into the match, Amigos da Bola's Luiz Fábio Meirelles sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathias Porto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Luís Fernando de Amaral came up free with the goalie in the 65th minute, the Amigos da Bola fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luís Fernando de Amaral couldn't finish the play. If Luiz Fábio Meirelles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amigos da Bola's Luís Fernando de Amaral got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mathias Porto came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Amigos da Bola's Tostão Toscano. But to his dismay, Tostão Toscano quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After having played for 77 minutes, Luís Fernando de Amaral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Amigos da Bola's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Fernando de Amaral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Tostão Toscano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Amigos da Bola's supporters rose to their feet, but Tostão Toscano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mathias Porto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ararius's Mathias Porto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Fábio Meirelles in the 82nd minute of play. 83 minutes into the match, Amigos da Bola's Luís Fernando de Amaral sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mathias Porto narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 90 minutes into the match, Luiz Fábio Meirelles notched a goal, 3-0, to the right of Ararius's Mathias Porto. Mathias Porto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 94th minute, Luís Fernando de Amaral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 96th minute, Rony de Moraes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Mathias Porto was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Amigos da Bola's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
