Floripa United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Waldir da Silva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. In the 18th minute Bebeto Barral shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rafa Vinhas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Waldir da Silva's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Conrado Cardozo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Claudinho Batista blasted a shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rafa Vinhas having to make a save. Rodrigo Leite hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. The supporters of StoneHorns Soccer Club booed when Floripa United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 65 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fiori de Azevedo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Washington Vargas took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 66th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Conrado Cardozo. Floripa United's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Claudinho Batista could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Rafa Vinhas made a huge save.
