Giuseppe Quintal was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 23rd minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Walmir de Andrade. Fabinho Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruninho Galvão having to interfere. Cambitos de Serrozeta's João Pedro Tasso pulled a muscle in his leg after 27 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luiz Freire during the 28th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sobralia FC's Luiz Freire got a free kick in the 28th minute. Giuseppe Quintal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kléberson Cosme, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. 37 minutes into the match, Kléberson Cosme had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giuseppe Quintal. Cambitos de Serrozeta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kléberson Cosme was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The wind increased when Kléberson Cosme made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cambitos de Serrozeta getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Jano Santos hit a great ball. In the 59th minute Kléberson Cosme shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Giuseppe Quintal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In a very dangerous position, a player in Cambitos de Serrozeta fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 60th minute. Penalty!
